Memos Template Quick Start
LifeOS Pro Memos Vault is recommended for Logseq, flomo, and usememos users. It demonstrates continuous capture with two sample daily notes and one sample weekly review; use LifeOS Pro Memos Blank Vault as your own main vault afterward.
Template structure
- Both vaults use a daily template with one empty Daily Record heading for bullets and
- [ ]tasks. LifeOS Pro Memos Vaultalso includes2025-01-06.md,2025-01-07.md, and2025-W02.mdto demonstrate ordinary records, open tasks, completed tasks, and periodic review.- Weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly templates keep four LifeOS queries: due tasks, recorded tasks, recorded bullets, and completed tasks.
- The templates contain no project, area, or theme snapshots and no
ProjectListByTimeorAreaListByTimequeries.
Use it in Obsidian
- Open
LifeOS Pro Memos Vaultfrom the complete package'sLifeOS Pro/Example Vault/folder as a local vault. - If LifeOS Pro is not installed, copy
Plugin/lifeos-profrom the package root into this vault's.obsidian/plugins/. - Open
0. PeriodicNotes/2025/Daily/01/2025-01-06.md,2025-01-07.md, and0. PeriodicNotes/2025/Weekly/2025-W02.mdto understand records, tasks, and review queries. - When you finish learning, open
LifeOS Pro Memos Blank Vaultin Obsidian, create today's daily note, and begin your own records.
Do not clear the example vault. LifeOS Pro Memos Blank Vault keeps the same settings and daily-to-yearly templates without sample date folders.
When should you upgrade?
Stay with Memos while time-based retrieval is enough. Upgrade only when a real new problem appears:
Upgrade from Memos
The table runs from IPO through OPC in increasing complexity. Old daily notes do not need to move when upgrading to IPO, GTD, or PARA:
- Back up the vault and keep the current periodic-note folder, date folders, and custom templates.
- Explore the target filled example and confirm it solves the problem.
- Add folders and templates from the target Blank Vault; never overwrite the
whole
.lifeos/settings.json. - Enable the target capability in LifeOS Pro and verify each path.
- Use the new structure for new material first. Move or tag old records only when doing so creates real retrieval value.
Existing - [ ] and - [x] Markdown tasks continue to appear in task and review
queries.
For OPC, start in OPC LifeOS Blank Vault, then copy the daily notes and
operating material you need. Its dashboards, departments, agent files, and
periodic-note path should not be introduced by overwriting settings in place.
Can you switch back?
Yes, through migration—not as a one-click toggle. To return to Memos, stop using the taxonomy but keep old folders so links remain valid. IPO, GTD, and PARA conversions require reviewed semantic reclassification in batches.
